Our game is a 2d Mystery themed action/adventure game
You are the last remaining sea creatures in a dying polluted ocean. Your goal is to find and kill the Plastic Mutant Heart to restore your oceans to what they once were. You will adventure across the ocean through shipwrecks fighting your way through hordes of mutated plastic zombies, and collecting weapons and resources left behind from the fallen humans that will be crucial to your survival and to finding the heart.
Features
Exploring – exploring through interesting underwater locations such as shipwrecks, coves, submarines
Looting – breaking chests and crates can reward you with food to heal you, and ingredients you will need to craft powerups
Combat – you will fight against mutated plastic enemies with different character abilities and weapons to be used in your battles. Minibosses will prove each level to be a challenge with their unique special abilities.
Multiple characters – There are 3 playable main characters and a large variety of enemies each with their individual skills.
Lives System – If your character dies and becomes infected, as u switch to a new character, it joins back as an enemy on levels to defeat, making it much more challenging the more you die. If all 3 characters die, you lose the game.
Powerup Mutated Serum – in your adventures you will find a submarine that was used by the humans in their attacks against the toxic waste. There is a laboratory with a recipe for a super strength serum, you can create the serum with ingredients u collect in levels. The serum gives you more health and strength
Items
Upon breaking crates you will receive consumables to replenish your health, giving you another fighting chance.

The console will mostly be based on PC.
Aquatic Apocalypse is highly entertaining and would catch the younger audience’s attention in minutes, the game handles entertainment while also dealing with environmental issues. We are hoping the game will teach the younger audience the value of the ecosystem.

Normally the game is meant for entertainment however it can teach the value of the ocean's ecosystem to the player. The type of players that play the game are people who are interested in nature/climate-related games.

Competition
The game Aquatic Apocalypse has many competitors, but what makes our game stand out is our more advanced mechanics and gameplay. Our fast-paced gameplay and precise controller input creates a high technical skill ceiling for pros and speed runners, this gives more replayability and incentive to play and master the game.
On top of it all it raises awareness for the good cause of stopping plastic waste.
Unique Selling Point
Aquatic Apocalypse has a wide range of unique characters and mechanics, the game also has a huge number of challenging enemies which provide a highly entertaining experience, unlike many other games in the Current game market.
Design Goal
Aquatic Apocalypse is an immersive game that will drastically show the importance of saving the environment and will make the players be aware of the impact we are all making on the earth. It will encourage its audience to become more aware of the ecosystem and will also encourage the audience to hopefully take better care of other environments.

Buffy the Axolotl:
A pink and purple Axolotl, agile and powerful
Toodles The Turtle:
A tough determined turtle, loud and goofy, enjoys spinning around while inside its shell.
Kevin The Octopus:
Sly and clever, can swing tentacles at enemies or pick up things far away
Further Details
Aquatic Apocalypse has a fun engaging story and will include lots of secret easter eggs and messages left behind from the humans, the story has a lure deeper than what most players will encounter on a casual playthrough, for completionists there will be small notes to pick up and even secret unlockable rooms with hidden treasure.
As you progress throughout the levels the environment will become more mutated and toxic, leading to stronger enemies and harsher conditions, forcing the player to adapt and be more cautious in how they play.
